Bad Experience with South Star Drug

Caution: ranting post

I'm just furious!

Sister and I bought Belle's vitamins a while ago at South Star Drug, in Robinson's Tutuban. I was carrying Belle and her dress had gotten wet so I was in a hurry to get home. I didn't wait for the receipt anymore, the saleslady was dawdling and making chitchat with the other salesladies, so I knew it would take a long time. It was very cold and windy outside, and we had a long walk home.

When we got home, yaya informed me that I should have bought Cherifer with Zinc. So I asked our boy to go and exchange it, while the saleslady's memory would be fresh. But when he got there, the salesladies refused to exchange the vitamins because they wanted the receipt. He had to call me over his cellphone.
I told the saleslady that they didn't give me the receipt. They told me that they gave it to me. I told them again that they didn't give it to me. They said they searched their wastebasket and my receipt wasn't there. I said that they really didn't give it and I didn't ask for it anymore since I was in a hurry. They insisted that they couldn't exchange it without the receipt. I was prepared to pay the difference in price, but there was nothing I could do about it so I asked the boy to just come home.
I know it's really my fault, but give me a break! The saleslady said she remembered us and that the transaction was only a couple of hours old.
Lesson learned: Always ask for the receipt!
